Brunswick Community College Foundation

Scholarships

The Foundation of BCC establishes Student Scholarships through donor gifts to the Foundation. The Foundation’s committee awards scholarships based on the criteria specified by the donor and in conjunction with Foundation policies. Students can apply once and be considered for over 100 awards.

We invite you to apply for a Foundation Scholarship. The current application period runs from March 1, 2026 to May 31, 2026.

Before submitting an application, students must agree to the following requirements:

  • Complete the 2026–2027 FAFSA.
  • Meet the minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 or higher.
  • Complete the Award Acknowledgement Agreement (after being awarded the scholarship)
  • Write a thank you card in person at the Foundation office.
  • Agree to provide a video testimonial.
  • Attend the Annual Scholarship Luncheon in October.
  • Most of the donors who fund Foundation scholarships ask for applicants to share some additional information in a written/essay format. They want to get to know you beyond the general application questions. In a separate document, please share a little about who you are, your goals, and any experiences, challenges, or circumstances that have led you to BCC. They would love to learn what makes you unique and why you think a scholarship would make a meaningful difference in your education. This is an opportunity to tell your story. Be honest, thoughtful, and most importantly, be yourself. NOTE: You will need to update your finished essay in .doc, .docx or .pdf file format.

The scholarship application will appear below on March 1, 2026.
