Brunswick Interagency Program
The Brunswick Interagency Program (BIP) at Brunswick Community College is a nationally acclaimed initiative dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to empower students to fully integrate into the campus community, achieve their highest potential, gain independence, actively engage in their communities, and successfully transition into the workforce.
At the heart of BIP’s success are the pillars of purpose, support, friendship, and respect, which guide every aspect of our program. BIP offers a wide range of comprehensive services, including Adult Basic Education, Employment Resources, the BIP Greenhouse and Gift Shop, and Transportation.

Paving the way for our future, one mind at a time
BCC and Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC) were selected to be the IDD pilot programs for the NC Community College System (NCCCS) in hopes of helping the other 56 community colleges develop their Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities for Adults (IDD) Programs. The two pilot schools created a tool kit that included best practices and resources to help start, upgrade, and provide additional support.
