Computer Science Programs
Information Technology & Computer Programming
Information Technology is an excellent career for technically savvy students who enjoy working with computers. Computer and information technology occupations are projected to grow 12 percent over the next ten years according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Students may select from a variety of technical pathways including Information Systems, Computer Programming and Development, General Studies, Web Development, and Artificial Intelligence. Students can pursue an Associate in Applied Science degree, or, for some of the pathways, choose from a variety of shorter diploma or certificate programs to jump start a new career or enhance a current career. Diploma programs do not require a lot of general education courses so they can be completed sooner than an associate’s degree while Certificate programs offer ‘bite-sized’ pieces of education that can provide practical workplace skills in a short period of time.
