Whitney Hamilton Named BCC’s Latest Student of the Month
Brunswick Community College is proud to recognize Whitney Hamilton as our newest Student of the Month, celebrating her exceptional commitment to patient care, professionalism, and the values at the heart of the nursing profession.
Whitney was nominated after demonstrating extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate, patient-centered care. In a recent clinical experience, she successfully performed an IV insertion for a patient who had previously endured unsuccessful attempts. Whitney’s confident, gentle approach immediately put the patient at ease, and her skill led to a successful first-try insertion. The patient later shared how comfortable and reassured they felt in Whitney’s care, a testament to her ability to blend technical excellence with genuine empathy.
Her instructors describe Whitney as a positive force in the classroom and clinical setting, someone who prioritizes patient safety, maintains a professional presence, and leads with heart.
Dr. David Townsend, BCC’s Vice President of Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer, surprised Whitney with the award during one of her nursing classes, recognizing her as a standout who exemplifies the very best of BCC Nursing.
Congratulations, Whitney!
