Library
The Brunswick Community College Library, located on the second floor of Building A, provides its patrons with a diverse collection of traditional and nontraditional resources. A variety of services are provided to enhance and compliment the use of available resources. A pleasant atmosphere allows patrons to do research, to study and read, and to participate in other educational activities.
Currently the library collection of books and audiovisual materials contains about 20,000 volumes. Current periodical resources are available in the library. Access to the Internet allows library patrons to use NC LIVE, which provides access to a vast array of electronic information sources. Many of the resources are available in full text. Other library resources include the North Carolina Census Records from 1790 to 1920 on microfilm and a growing collection of local history/genealogy materials.
A catalog of books and audiovisual materials held by the BCC Library is available online. This online database may be accessed in the library or at any Internet accessible computer using the following URL address: http://cclinc.nccommunitycolleges.edu/ This same URL allows patrons to search any library in the Community College Libraries in North Carolina (CCLINC) consortium, giving access to books and materials from more than 45 North Carolina community colleges.
Library orientation is a part of the student success course offered by the College. Faculty may request group instruction on other library skills such as using NC LIVE. Individuals may ask for assistance from the staff by going to the circulation desk.
Brunswick County residents age sixteen and over are welcome to use the College library. Contact the library staff with your questions at 910-755-7331 or stop by for a visit.
