BCC Showcases Welding Program

September 21, 2022 — Welding is one of BCC’s most popular programs, thanks to our outstanding instructors, state-of-the-art equipment and teaching facilities, and support from local industry organizations, including the American Welding Society (AWS). Last year, AWS awarded BCC a $25,000 Welding Workforce Grant. Yesterday, AWS Vice President and Grants Committee Chair Michael Krupnicki saw BCC instructors and students in action. He also previewed some of what’s yet to come as BCC continues expanding its Welding program to accommodate additional students.

BCC welding graduates achieve great success due to the many certifications they earn as they complete their training. From the Summer Semester 2021 through Spring Semester 2022, students earned more than 850 certifications through NC3, OSHA, and the National Center for Construction Education & Research.
