BCC Electrical Lineworker Students Graduate and Begin Careers in Same Week
There’s nothing quite like knowing you have a great-paying job starting just five days after graduation. That was the case for the six most recent BCC Electrical Lineworker Program graduates. Over ten weeks, students spent 400 hours of instruction, earning more than 16 industry-recognized certifications and their CDL permit as part of this pre-apprenticeship program. Training requires both physical and mental toughness. Instructors Ronald Cumbee and Raymon Dickson say this class had an abundance of both.
All six graduates began work with Lee Electric this week! That’s what we call success! Congratulations to Jordan Barbery, William Carney’ Marcus Cribb, Jaheim Lewis, William Williams, and Ian Williamson. Graduation also included the presentation of the Colby Haitcock Memorial Scholarship to Jordon Barbery. This $500 scholarship is in memory of Colby, an excellent young many who dreamed of being an electrical lineworker but left us far too soon.
As always, we thank Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation for helping make this course possible. You are a true partner, and we could not be more grateful.
