BCC Graduates Culinary Class
We are excited to announce that the most recent class of students in BCC’s Culinary Arts Program has graduated! These talented graduates will soon be cooking up a storm in some of the best restaurants in Brunswick County and surrounding areas.
The graduation ceremony was a great success, with messages of praise and congratulations from Dr. Gene Smith, BCC President, Lisa Schultz, Program Director, Brad Carlson, student speaker, Lauren McCoy, Instructor, and Onya Gardner, Dean of Continuing Education & Workforce Development.
To add to the excitement, the program recently received a generous gift of $10,000 from Douglas Terhune to The Foundation of BCC for student scholarships. This will help even more students get the training they need to succeed in the Culinary industry. Terhune, a BCC Board of Trustees member, is a big supporter of the program and was instrumental in enabling the renovation of an old cafeteria into the Douglas Terhune Center for Culinary Arts.
