BCC Board of Trustees Honors Representative Frank Iler with Trustee Emeritus Title

Brunswick Community College (BCC) is proud to announce that the Board of Trustees has awarded Representative Frank Iler the honorary title of Trustee Emeritus in recognition of his exceptional service and longstanding dedication to the College.

Representative Iler was first appointed to the BCC Board of Trustees by the Brunswick County Board of Education on May 1, 2007. Over nearly two decades, he played a key role in guiding the College through an era of significant growth and opportunity. His service included serving on the Academic and Student Affairs Committee and the Finance Committee, and serving as the Legislative Board Liaison.

Throughout his tenure, Representative Iler consistently championed the mission of North Carolina Community Colleges—advocating for educational access, workforce development, and student success across the state. His unwavering support for the citizens of Brunswick County and his commitment to strengthening community college education have left an enduring impact on BCC and the broader region.

The honorary title of Trustee Emeritus was formally approved by the Board of Trustees on November 20, 2025, as a lasting expression of gratitude for his distinguished service.
