The Dr. W. Michael Reaves Service Award was created in 2014 in recognition of Dr. Reaves’ contributions to Brunswick Community College during his 18 years as President and the many ways he exemplifies the core values of BCC in our community. Each year the campus community nominates individuals whom they believe brings BCC’s core values to life through teaching, leading, supporting and advocating for the College, engaging the community and/or bringing about “good will” in our campus community.

The Dr. Susanne H. Adams’ Excellence in Leadership Award was created in 2018 in recognition of Dr. Adams’ outstanding leadership during her eight years as President. Each year the campus community has the opportunity to nominate a fellow faculty or staff member for this award who
- possesses strong leadership skills
- takes initiative above and beyond existing job duties
- demonstrates a commitment to the mission of the institution
- demonstrates a commitment to students • demonstrates a commitment to community
- delivers exceptional service to college constituents
