Articulation Agreements

Articulation Agreements
Articulation agreements establish a clear pathway between two or more colleges or universities and their academic programs. These agreements are often referred to by various names, such as transfer agreements, transfer guides, or transfer pathways.

The North Carolina Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA) outlines the process for admitting community college graduates to UNC institutions and transferring credits between colleges within the NC Community College System and institutions within The University of North Carolina. The CAA provides key guarantees for transferring students, including:

Guaranteed admission to one of the 16 UNC institutions (Transfer Assured Admissions Policy). The ability for NC community college graduates with an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree to transfer to a UNC institution with junior status.

Brunswick Community College has numerous articulation agreements for specific academic programs in addition to the North Carolina Comprehensive Articulation Agreement.
