Institutional Effectiveness

The office of Institutional Planning & Research is responsible for coordinating the College’s institutional effectiveness processes and state-mandated reporting, as well as for generating informational data that ensures the institution’s compliance with federal and state funding and accreditation agencies. The College’s grant process is also managed through this department. Please visit the BCC Grants Resource page for more information.

Strategic Planning and Assessment

The BCC Institutional Effectiveness process provides the cornerstone for assessment and planning at the College to meet the requirements of SACSCOC Core Requirements 7.1 (Institutional Planning and Effectiveness), 8.1 (Student Achievement) and their implementation and documentation to meet Compliance Standards 8.2.A (Student Outcomes: educational programs), 8.2.B (Student outcomes: general education), and 8.2.C (Student outcomes: academic and student services).  These related sub-components are tracked through multiple assessment activities. For more information about the different assessments used by the College, please contact the Director, Office of Planning and Research.
