Patient Care Technician

This is a 396 hour course combining lecture, lab & clinical. Course integrates Anatomy & Physiology with Pathophysiology, Medical Terminology, legal, fundamental skill sets, Phlebotomy, EKG, Assisting with Procedures, Clinical experience: Rotations will take place in Hospital and Medical Offices. Upon completion of course students are eligible to take Patient Care Technician, EKG Technician and Phlebotomy Technician National Certification. Pre-requisites: All students must be Certified Nurse Aide I on NC state registry and have completed a State Approved Nurse Aide I Course, completed Career Focus, background check, immunizations and physical exam prior to registration.
