dolphins for diabetes

Dolphins for Diabetes is a student organization at Brunswick Community College that brings together students living with diabetes and anyone interested in diabetes awareness and advocacy. In partnership with The Diabetes Link, our club provides a supportive community, educational resources, and opportunities to connect with others who understand the challenges of diabetes. Through campus events, outreach, and open conversations, we aim to promote awareness, reduce stigma, and support students affected by diabetes.

Do you enjoy the thrill that is horror and true crime? Does it give you a rush? Do you get goosebumps when things go bump in the night? Discover your fears with the BCC Horror Club!  

At Horror Club, we love all things spooky. Whether it’s true crime or slasher films, we will always find a way to indulge in the darker themes of life. Horror is not exclusive to one type of person, so if you enjoy horror then we encourage you to join. This club is a safe space where any one from any place can enjoy the spooky.  

We love to watch movies, read stories, talk about true crime cases, have special guests, and more. We would love to hear new members’ ideas about how to explore the dark side.

This Shield of Faith Club serves as an honest public forum for those Brunswick Community College Students who have a deep love for Jesus Christ and want to socialize with others who share this same passion.

This club aims to create a loving, well-knit community with which members may find their place in and use to spread the Truth of the Gospels. To accomplish this goal, club time shall be spent exploring the intricacies of Christianity in a manner which encourages open conversation, spiritual growth, and brotherly love, all of which culminate in an understanding that learning is a lifelong endeavor.

The Brunswick Community College Student Nursing Association (BCC SNA)

The Brunswick Community College Student Nursing Association (BCC SNA) is a student-led organization for nursing and pre-nursing students that promotes academic success, professional development, and community engagement.

Aligned with the National Student Nurses’ Association (NSNA), the organization provides opportunities for leadership, service, and advocacy while supporting the transition into professional nursing practice.

The BCC SNA fosters ethical practice, collaboration, and commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Meeting Time: Monthly Board Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month. These are open to the general assembly.

Crochet Club

Crochet club is a welcoming space for students to learn, practice and enjoy the craft of crochet. Members can share projects, exchange tips and techniques, and learn from one another, whether they are beginners or experienced crocheters. Public Safety Club

The Public Safety Club brings together Brunswick Community College students who are interested in careers that serve and protect communities, including law enforcement, criminal justice, fire service, EMS, emergency management, 911 communications, corrections, homeland security, and related fields. Through guest speakers, hands-on activities, networking opportunities, community service, and career exploration, members can develop leadership skills, build professional connections, and learn how public safety agencies work together. The club is open to students across the College who have an interest in public safety and community service.

Student Ambassadors

Student ambassadors are student leaders who serve as official liaisons between the college prospective, and current students and their families, guests, alumni, business partners, and friends of the college.

Ambassadors develop relationships with the campus community and network with community representatives. Their passion for their school and genuine desire to help others make them invaluable assets in recruitment, support, and outreach efforts.

WHAT CREDENTIAL ARE YOU HOPING TO EARN?

In about two years, you can earn an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or an Associate of Applied Science degree. Many students continue their education at a four-year college or university.
A diploma takes less time (9-18 months) than a degree and provides you with hands-on training and skills in a specific field. You are workforce ready.
If you want focused training in a specific skill or industry in less than one year, a certificate program may be for you.
In less than six months, you train for employment in a specific field or career type, short-term industry training programs are a great place to start. Some programs offer industry recognized credentials.
High School students can accelerate the completion of college certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees.
Complete a high school credential (GED®) that mirrors a public-school credential.
Prepares adults to take the High School Equivalency Test.
