Leading to the Associate in Science Teacher Preparation (P1042T)

The College Transfer Pathway Leading to the Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation is designed for high school students who wish to begin study toward the Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation degree and a baccalaureate degree in teaching in a STEM or technical major.

*Optional General Education Hours (0-8 Credit Hours):
A student may take up to 8 credit hours of foreign language courses and accompanying labs, in a single language, designated as General Education in the CAA as part of this pathway. These courses are not part of the Universal General Education Transfer Component. Students who complete these courses with a grade of “C” or better will receive transfer credit. The receiving university will determine whether the courses will transfer as general education, pre-major, or elective credit.

Note: High school students in the College Transfer Pathway Leading to the Associate in Science degree in Teacher Preparation must complete the entire pathway before taking additional courses in the Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation degree with the exception of mathematics courses beyond MAT 271.
