More on Dolphins Baseball and Softball
BCC student-athletes excel both on the playing field and in the classroom. During the 2023-2024 season, our Baseball Team made their fourth trip to the NJCAA World Series in Enid, Oklahoma, finishing as the National Runner-Up with an impressive 51-10 record. Highlighting this achievement, Colby Thorndyke was named the National Player of the Year, marking the first time a student-athlete from Brunswick Community received this prestigious award.
This year, our baseball and softball teams showcased outstanding performance:
- 9 members of the Region 10 All-Conference Team.
- 1 NJCAA All-American First Team selection.
- 4 members of the World Series All-Tournament Team.
- 27 student-athletes made the Region 10 All-Academic Team (GPA ≥ 3.00).
- 3 student-athletes were named to the NJCAA All-Academic Third Team (GPA 3.60 – 3.79).
- 1 student-athlete achieved NJCAA All-Academic Second Team status.
- 2 student-athletes earned NJCAA All-American First Team honors (GPA 4.00).
Our student-athletes excel in balancing their academic responsibilities, community service, and rigorous practice and game schedules. Many of our baseball and softball players are advancing to continue their education and sports careers at four-year institutions.
Join us in supporting our student-athletes and making a positive impact by being part of this year’s tournament!
